Privacy policy

Last updated October 16, 2026. Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

This policy explains what personal information Solving With AI collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run a free community.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and sign-in method (Google or email and password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
  • Public profile: display name, picture, tagline, bio, optional links, role, industry and the AI tools you use.
  • What you post: use cases, bounties, answers, comments, tags, links, videos and files.
  • Activity: your saves (private to you), “I used this” marks, reports you file, points and badges.
  • Search and usage: search terms (stored without your identity) and basic page views, used to improve the hub.
  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email, when and where you consented, and whether issues were opened or clicked.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type and error logs, kept briefly for security and fixing bugs.

2. What's public and what isn't

  • Public: your profile and everything you post, along with your display name.
  • Private: your email, saves, reports, sign-in details and newsletter status. Your email is never shown to other members.

3. Why we use it

  • To run your account and show your posts (to provide the service).
  • To keep the hub safe: moderation, spam prevention and enforcing the rules (legitimate interest).
  • To send activity emails about your own posts, such as a new answer to your bounty (to provide the service: you can turn these off).
  • To send the newsletter, only if you opted in (consent).
  • To improve the hub using anonymous search and usage stats (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. Sponsors never receive member data.

4. AI features

The Post polisher reads the draft you ask it to polish. The site helper reads your question and searches public hub content. That text is sent to our AI model provider (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) to produce a response. Your private data, such as your email and saves, is never sent. Don't paste confidential information into either feature.

5. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host the hub, store files, send email and run AI features, only to provide those services.
  • Sign-in providers like Google, when you choose to sign in with them.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people's safety.
  • A new owner, if the hub is ever transferred. This policy would continue to apply.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only what's needed to keep you signed in, remember your unfinished drafts, and finish an action you started before signing in. We don't use advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account and profile: until you delete your account.
  • Posts and comments: until you or a moderator delete them. If you delete your account, they stay but show as “Former member”, with nothing linking them to you.
  • Newsletter consent records: as long as you're subscribed, plus a short period afterwards to prove consent.
  • Security and error logs: up to 90 days.

8. Your rights and choices

  • See, edit or download your profile details on your account page.
  • Delete posts one by one, or delete your whole account.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the one-click link in any issue.
  • Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or move your data, or to object to some uses. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by strict permissions, and only a small number of admins can moderate content. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't post anything sensitive.

10. Children

The hub isn't meant for anyone under 16. If we learn a child has created an account, we'll delete it.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, with appropriate safeguards in place.

12. Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you on the hub or by email.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact the hub team through the site.
